A 67-person Azerbaijani aircraft crashed Wednesday near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan, killing 38 people and leaving 29 victims, according to a Kazakh standard. According to Kazakh authorities, those aboard the aircraft included 42 Iranian people, 16 Russian citizens, six Kazakhs and three Kyrgyzstan citizens. The Associated Press was unable to quickly reconcile the disparity between the survivor counts provided by Kazakhstani and Azerbaijani authorities. Mobile phone film that was circulated online appeared to show the plane making a rough origin before crashing into the floor in a fire. The rest of the plane was lying upside down in the lawn while a portion of its fuselage was seen on different footage showing the wings being ripped off. The film was in line with the hues and registration number of the plane. Some of the social media video featured survivors dragging other passengers out of the shipwreck. The aircraft appeared to be making a figure-right once it approached the aircraft in Aktau, with its level significantly increasing over the course of the trip before striking the ground. FlightRadar24 separately said in an online post that the plane had faced” powerful GPS jamming”, which “made the aeroplane convey poor ADS-B data”, referring to the information that allows flight-tracking sites to pursue planes in trip. In the past, Russia has been held responsible for entangling GPS transmissions throughout the area.
