Turkish club Besiktas has shown interest in Southampton’s Nigerian forward, Paul Onuachu. He joined Southampton from KRC Genk at the beginning of 2023, where he had a record of 85 goals and 10 assists in 134 matches. However, his time at struggling Southampton has not been successful. In his first six months, he played just 405 minutes without scoring. Last summer, Onuachu went on a season-long loan to Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig, where he scored 17 goals and provided four assists in 25 appearances before returning to England. According to Turkish media outlet 61saat, Besiktas is now pursuing the 30-year-old, with one of the club’s presidential candidates, Serdal Adalı, reaching out to Southampton officials to facilitate Onuachu’s potential return to Turkey.
