Bauchi names new Secretary to the State Government

Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed, has appointed Alhaji Aminu Hammayo, the Commissioner for Budget, Economic Planning, and Multilateral Coordination, as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG). Hammayo, who previously held the SSG position under former Governor Malam Isa Yuguda, takes over from Barr. Kashim Ibrahim recently stepped down under contentious conditions. In a similar move, the Governor has appointed Alhaji Hashimu Yakubu Kumbala, the Special Adviser on Special Duties, as the new Principal Private Secretary (PPS). Kumbala takes over from Pharmacist Samaila Adamu Burga, who was elected as the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). A statement released on Friday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, mentioned that both appointees are set to be sworn in today.
