The training session on Thursday evening addressed every facet of the game, such as goalkeeping, defense, and notably, attacking and scoring goals, all guided by Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Ilechukwu. Before concluding the session around 7:25 pm, all 23 players took turns attempting penalty kicks. The first leg of the CHAN qualifier in Accra, Ghana, last weekend ended in a scoreless draw. If Saturday’s second leg match at The Nest of Champions results in a draw, the two teams will proceed to penalty kicks to decide the winner, as the away goals rule is no longer in effect. “We’re not suggesting that Saturday’s match will end in a draw, okay?” Assistant Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu joked with the players during practice. Additionally, the Ghanaian team, Black Galaxies, is expected to arrive in Uyo today (Friday). According to Dr. Ademola Olajire, the NFF Director of Communications, they will land at Port Harcourt Airport and then drive to Uyo, as reported by Completesports.
