Tsakani – Sibusiso ‘Crvsh’ Mathebula, a hip-hop artist, started making music in 2016, using his phone to record over beats.
Making music started as a hobby and gained momentum in his life in 2020, when he recorded his first song with a friend.
He said he became an artist after realising the art behind music and that music is not just about what you hear, but about powerfully connecting with people.
“I have been a hip-hop fan since I was young, and it was the only genre we played at home. I recently released a single called Phanda featuring C-4our, about hustling as an artist,” he said.

He is working on a 12-track mixtape with J.Axe titled Roots (WHERE IT ALL STARTS), set to drop on May 30.
“I will release a lead song from the mixtape titled Letlo Phaka on May 23. It talks about us as a collective making a statement in the music scene,” he added.
Mathebula emphasised that he aims to inspire through his lyrics, wants the youth to find direction in his music and the strength to never give up on anything they do.
“Music has taught me a lot as an individual, but what I learnt a lot from artistry is patience and persistence, and music requires a lot of that,” he said.
He said he sees himself grooming other artists, mentoring and helping them reach their full potential.
