​2024 NSF: A 14-Year-Old Student Secures Silver Medal in Swimming    

 

Aidan Dumuje-Abili, a young athlete, has won a silver medal in swimming at the current 2024 National Sports Festival, according to Completesports. Dumuje-Abili, a 14-year-old student in Junior Secondary School (JSS) three at Grange School in Lagos, secured second place in the men’s backstroke with a time of 1:04.15. He is competing for the Independent Junior Athletes (IJA) at the Gateway Games 2024. Additionally, in another event, Delta and Plateau had successful openings at the NSF 2024 Basketball. This marks the first senior medal for the gifted young athlete. He has secured gold medals at various events, including the Dolphin Swimming League, National Youth Games, International School Sport Federation, and World School Games. Kolade Otunla from Team Ogun clinched the gold medal with a time of 1:02.41, while Duke Enyekamime from Team Delta took home the bronze with a time of 1:04.70. Reported by Adeboye Amosu in Abeokuta.
