Collaboration brings mobile clinic services to Ekurhuleni East TVET College

The interactive event was attended by various professionals aiming at explaining the benefits of the mobile clinic units.

Peer educator and member of the Student Representative Council, Nothile Langa, was thankful for the opportunity presented to the students on campus.

In a public-private collaboration with the Department of Health and Bayer, the Ekurhuleni East TVET College recently received a donation of two mobile clinics.

The event marked a moment where health services such as basic optometry, reproductive health, mental health and others will be offered to the students.

This will go a long way to improving academic performance, enhancing wellbeing and better relations throughout.
The college hopes to soon bring more services to improve the students’ experiences.

The mobile clinic’s healthcare professionals: counselor Lindiwe Makhubela, registered nurse Sindiswa Tywabi, health promoter Mamokete Ramasike, nurse Ellen Mthethwa and clinical associate Zakhele Mpangane.
Technical specialist, Dr Ntlotleng Mabena engages the students on de-stigmatising sexual health related discussions.
Ekurhuleni East Tvet College’s deputy principal registrar, Benita Sisi, says this moment is history in the making. She says it has always been their wish to bring health services to the campus.
