The company Médis Sénégal, the only pharmaceutical manufacturing unit established in the country and relaunched thanks to the Fonds souverain d’investissements stratégiques (FONSIS), has been the victim of a misappropriation of funds estimated at 800 million CFA francs, reveals the daily Libération in its edition of this Tuesday. According to published information, the events would have taken place between 2023 and 2024. During this period, payments made by the Pharmacie nationale d’approvisionnement (PNA) to Médis were intercepted by other bank accounts, via a fraudulent scheme based on the falsification of documents.
