Inter Milan striker stranded in Iran, will not participate in FIFA Club World Cup.

Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi is unable to meet up with his teammates for the Club World Cup in the United States due to being stranded in Tehran as tensions rise between Iran and Israel. All flights from Iranian airports have been halted following recent military exchanges between the two nations, preventing the Iranian player from boarding his planned flight on Saturday to Los Angeles to join Inter. Taremi will be absent from Inter’s first game against Monterrey on Wednesday, and Italian news outlets indicate that the 32-year-old is unlikely to play in future matches too, even if Iranian airspace restrictions are lifted. Taremi transferred to Inter from Porto last year.
