( BPRW) On June 16th, GirlTREK unveils a New App and Campaign to Increase Black Women’s Health The largest national health movement based on the needs of Black women introduces a New App and Campaign that aims to increase Black women’s life expectancy by ten years. The Underground, a potent new mobile app that serves as both a digital sanctuary and an organizing platform, will be available on June 19th, 2025 ( June 19 ). The game promotes longer, healthier lives through daily running, neighborhood support, and social connection, inspired by Black women’s needs, management, and legacy. Summers of Solidarity 2025, GirlTREK’s ten-week call to action that empowers over one million Black women for what matters most, is officially underway with this national implementation. People will wander in honor of their communities, their populations, their health, and their futures across the nation. Every move is a declaration that no person walks alone and a dedication to healing. Vanessa Garrison, co-founder of GirlTREK, said,” Black people are dying to quickly and also frequently from reasons that are entirely preventable. The Underground is a declaration of authority, a sacred place we created with attention and intention, not just a response. This is more than just a heath software; it is grounded in the tradition of our mothers, our aunties, and Harriet Tubman herself. The Underground is a crutch, a position to regain our day, restore our health, and interact with the pleasure that has always sustained us.” The name The Underground honors Harriet Tubman and the legacy of the Underground Railroad. To help people find flexibility, Tubman used subterranean channels of attention. This game echoes that tradition by providing a space based on connection, joy, and survival. Users can record their walks, form walking teams, monitor the progress of their cities on leaderboards, and listen to unique music content that promotes mental, physical, and spiritual growth. The Underwater is a special giving in the field of technology. There are no advertisements. No censorship. No systems. Only a private, mission-driven area where GirlTrek members can engage naturally in ways that will help them develop deeper bonds and wellness is never commodified. Morgan Dixon, co-founder of GirlTREK, said,” We built this game with the same purpose as our mothers used to create their houses, their temples, and their independence activities. The Underwater isn’t just about technology, though. It serves as a modern sanctuary and a launching pad. It’s a spot where Black people may be surrounded by one another, show each other respect, and remember that we are not the only ones. Solidarity Shop displays the number of women walking in real time, similar to what it looks like when we create for our own enjoyment and life.
