According to witnesses on the spot, the situation quickly deteriorated when the defence and security forces intervened to disperse a crowd deemed too dense or disorganized. To do this, they had to resort to dozens of tear gas grenades. Pris de panique, candidates and monitors fled in all directions, transforming the place into a scene of chaos.
