On the sidelines of his official visit to China, the Prime Minister of Senegal, Ousmane Sonko, met this Tuesday with the heads of the China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), a Chinese giant specialized in the investment, design, construction and exploitation of infrastructures on a global scale. At the heart of the exchanges was the strengthening of cooperation between the Republic of Senegal and this multinational in several key sectors, including transport infrastructures, energy and other strategic areas for the economic development of the country. Present in Senegal for several years, the CCCC is already engaged in a dozen major projects, including the construction of the Ila Touba motorway, one of the major axes of the Senegalese motorway network.
