Le journaliste Bachir Fofana announced on his Facebook page that he had been summoned by the Division spéciale de cybersécurité (DSC). “Yesterday evening, I received a summons for today at 10 o’clock in the framework of an affair concerning me”, he wrote. This convocation is part of the case concerning the acquisition of the vehicles of the National Assembly. According to information from the newspaper Libération, the president of the parliamentary institution, El Malick Ndiaye, has lodged a complaint against the journalist Bachir Fofana. The complaint, lodged by his adviser Me Bamba Cissé, is based on the alleged facts of “diffusion of false news and defamation”. Bachir Fofana, a columnist for Sentv, is accused of having made recent statements calling into question a public vehicle market. Le journaliste would have affirmed that ce marché de véhicules avait été attribué à Cheikh Guèye, central figure of the case of the Tribunal de Pikine-Guédiawaye involving the former Minister of Justice, Ismaïla Madior Fall.
