The Confederation of African Football, CAF, will launch a new trophy ahead of the kick-off for 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.. CAF will launch the trophy on Wednesday, 2 July 2025 in Morocco, the host nation for this year’s event.. The new trophy is part of CAF president Dr Patrice Motsepe’s vision to grow and develop women’s football in Africa.. It will be revealed digitally on CAF’s official platforms in the afternoon, followed by an activation event in partnership with title sponsors TotalEnergies later that evening.. The competition will kick-off on Saturday, 5 July 2025 at Olympic Stadium in Rabat with hosts, Morocco taking on Zambia.. Banyana Banyana of South Africa are the current holders of the competition.. 12 countries will participate in the biennial tournament which will run from Saturday, 5 July to Saturday, 26 July..
