Kwa-Thema – A 59-year-old woman was shot and killed during a botched robbery in Metsing Ext 3 on Sunday night.
The police received notification of a shooting and went to the address, where they found one victim, a 36-year-old man, a tenant at the residence.
He alleged three unknown armed men came to rob him. He tried to fight back, but they shot him in the upper body.
The landlady heard a gunshot and looked through the window. The robbers fired a shot through the window, hitting her, also in the upper body.
She was declared dead on the scene by paramedics.
The male victim was rushed to hospital and was in critical condition.
