As winter is anticipated to fall in the area on Monday, two days before Christmas, Environment Canada has issued a winter wind travel expert for pieces of Ontario, including Toronto and the GTA. The wind company has even issued rain instructions for areas of cottage country like Parry Sound, Bracebridge, Smith Falls, and areas north of Kingston. Environment Canada estimates that total snowstorm accumulations of five to fifteen inches of snow are anticipated for Toronto and the GTA. Snow will shift into the area Monday night, followed by a tear in the evening, until the next large falls. Environment Canada stated in its expert that “only a couple centimeters are anticipated from this first round of snow.” Another more important square of snow is anticipated to arrive in the area this afternoon or early this evening.
