In a press conference on Monday, March 24, 2025, the Attorney General and Justice Minister for President Mahama disclosed that Boahene had diverted more than$ 7 million from funds designated for a cyber security contract into his personal accounts.
Ayine revealed that the original NSB director withdrew more than$ 49, 000 over time, the majority of which went toward assisting him with the order of these components.
Ayine stated in his press conference that the original NSB employer could spend up to 25 years in prison if found guilty. His family also faces fear in the scandal, as some money has also been deposited into her personal accounts.
