An agent of the State in service in a ministry has filed a complaint against Ngoné Saliou Diop for injuries publiques et atteinte à l’honneur d’une communauté. The facts stem from a publicly released video in which the accused allegedly made statements deemed offensive to the Pulaar community. In his complaint addressed to the Prosecutor of the Republic before the High Court of Justice of Dakar and registered on 1 October 2025, trade unionist Maham Ka denounces the proposals which constitute, according to him, “a grave attack on the honour and dignity not only of his person, but also of an entire community”. The complainant considers that these declarations are likely to “create tensions, sow hatred and undermine the common life we all aspire to”. But what further aggravates the situation, according to the complainant, is that Ngoné Saliou Diop of Sans Limites TV would also have made insolent remarks towards the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, “who embodies the highest institution of our country and deserves, as such, respect and consideration”. Accordingly, the complainant requests the opening of an investigation and the prosecution of Ngoné Saliou Diop for public injuries and incitement to hatred, in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations in force. Contacted by Seneweb, Maham Ka had to clarify that he is a trade unionist, apolitical, and Secretary to the Animation and Propaganda of the National Youth Movement of the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Senegal (CSA).
