The presentation of the book “Red” by Cheikh Abdou Bara Doli Mbacké was held this Saturday at the Azalai Hotel in Dakar, in the presence of several political, religious and media personalities. The work, which plunges into the heart of the socio-political tensions that marked Senegal between 2020 and 2024, looks back at a period marked by the riots, financial and legal scandals, as well as the violations of human rights observed under the regime of former President Macky Sall. Among the interveners, Babacar Touré, director of publication of the journal Kéwoulo, delivered an impressive testimony of emotion and gratitude to the author. He praised the “intellectual and moral courage” of Cheikh Abdou Bara Doli Mbacké, recalling the moments of trial and repression experienced by several political actors and citizens during the troubles of 2021 to 2023.
