A Plus, Gomoa Central MP, and Kwame Asare-Obeng, a famously known Gomoa Central MP, have issued a 48-hour order to the Ghana Police Service asking for an upgrade on the research into the death of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale. The Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central claimed a senior minister from the preceding NPP management as the to blame for the dying in a Facebook post on January 14, 2025. A Plus recalled an experience on July 15, 2024, when he was invited by the authorities to help in the research. A Plus even revealed that his origin, described as very trustworthy, was present during the meeting with the CID producer. A Plus demanded that the police give a common release or risk being summoned to Parliament for failing to make headway in the case. ” It’s essential for the CID chairman to release the people on the investigation’s progress and discuss whether more time is needed”, he said. ” It seems the situation has been sidelined. I will apply my political power to awaken the Ghana Police Service to simple Parliament if no upgrade is provided within 48 hrs. If that doesn’t happen, I will share all I know on social media, including the name of the reported perpetrator”.Ahmed Suale, a blogger with Tiger Eye P. I., an analytical team led by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, was shot and killed in Accra on January 16, 2019, in what appeared to be a deal shooting. Despite public outcry and calls for fairness, no arrests or beliefs have been made, and the case remains unsolved.
A Plus’s strong order has rekindled common interest in the case, with many calling on the police to take stronger action to take the murderers to righteousness. Notice the article below..
