Le collectif citoyen Aar Sunu Régime brought a case to justice on Thursday by lodging a complaint with the public prosecutor at the Dakar High Court against the political actor Bougar Diouf. He is accused of having made defamatory remarks against Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko during his recent media interventions. In the same logic, the collective also brought a complaint against the journalist Mouhamed Diop de Sen TV for complicity in defamation. He is accused of having facilitated the dissemination of the contentious propositions by receiving Bougar Diouf on his plateau, without recadrage ni mise en garde. The collective calls on the judiciary to take up the case and to place responsibility in what it considers to be a smear campaign targeting the head of government.
