Abdoulaye Sylla has lodged a complaint against the journalists Pape Sané and Abdoulaye Cissé for “defamation and dissemination of false news”.

The representative of Ecotra/Tauber, Abdoulaye Sylla, has lodged a complaint with the public prosecutor against Abdoulaye Cissé, journalist at Tfm, and Pape Sané, columnist at Walf TV, “for defamation and dissemination of false news”. In the complaint dated 1 July 2025, transmitted by the law firm Sembène, Diouf, Fall et Nidione, M. Sylla accuses Abdoulaye Cissé of having published, on 22 June 2025, an audiovisual reportage entitled ” Diamniadio, un gouffre à milliards sur fond de banditisme d’État ” on YouTube and Facebook, repris by the channel ” Le BigDeal-LBD “. This content, qualified as defamatory, called into question the management of the Groupement ÉCOTRA/TAUBER in the framework of the market No T1344/17-DK, relating to the development of the primaire voirie de Diamniadio. In fact, Abdoulaye Cissé presented a report on the emergency programme for the integrated development of the primary road and various networks (Pui/vrd) of Diamniadio. According to the report, the project is fraught with serious financial and technical irregularities. Thus, Ecotra/Tauber, the company in charge of the Puvrid, denounces the content of the reportage as “trumpet and unfounded”, calling into question the quality of its realizations. According to the complaint, “the report presents images of flooded and dilapidated areas, falsely attributed to the Groupement, and erroneous figures”, including an “alleged increase in the cost of the market from 140 to 235 billion FCFA”, without proof or verification by the parties concerned. Pape Sané is accused of having amplified these allegations in a Walf TV column, calling on the control bodies to intervene, in a move deemed “vengeful” by the plaintiffs. The Groupement ÉCOTRA SA TAUBER, whose works are carried out to 83% according to the bailleurs de fonds (BOAD, BIDC), reports “Les Echos”, denounces the accusations which damage its reputation and that of the Délégation Générale à la Promotion des Pôles Urbains (DGPU).
