According to an exclusive statement, Dosu anticipates thrilling performances from Wikki Tourists, Barau FC, Warri Wolves, and Kun Khalifat in the NPFL.

Dosu Joseph, the former Super Eagles goalkeeper, has stated that the four clubs newly promoted to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) are expected to perform well in the upcoming season. This follows the recent NNL Super 8 Playoffs in Asaba, Delta State, where Wikki Tourists FC, Barau FC, Warri Wolves FC, and Kun Khalifat FC secured their spots in the top tier of Nigerian football. He shared his thoughts during an interview with Completesports. According to the Atlanta Olympic gold medalist, Wikki Tourists and Warri Wolves are familiar names in the NPFL, as they have previously participated in the league before experiencing relegation. Additionally, it was noted that four players from the Flying Eagles have been selected for the Group Stage Best XI at the WAFU B U-20 Championship. “To begin with, I want to commend Wikki Tourists, Barau FC, Warri Wolves, and Kun Khalifat on their promotion to the NPFL, as it requires tremendous effort to reach this point. However, the real challenge begins now in order to maintain their status in the top tier.” Among the four teams, Wikki Tourists and Warri Wolves are well-known participants in the league, with a solid grasp of the inner workings of the NPFL. However, this does not imply that the other teams, Barau FC and Kun Khalifat, should be taken lightly. Keep in mind that these teams have worked hard to earn their place in the NPFL and won’t be there just to make up numbers. “Therefore, I anticipate an exciting match from the four clubs when the NPFL begins next season.”
