Richard Nii Armah Quaye, a businessman and entrepreneur from Ghana, reportedly owes more than Ghc million in exceptional income income, which is the source of his new disputes with financial regulators.
The Financial Intelligence Center ( FIC ) has frozen Quaye’s personal bank accounts. Both the bank balances of his company’s CEO, Rome-Richlove Seshie and those of his companies, Easy Credit and Bills MicroFinance, have been frozen.
All of these relate to his ongoing income tax issues with the Ghana Revenue Authority ( GRA ), according to CitiNewsroom. After his extravagant birthday party over the weekend, reports emerged that the GRA frozen all of his addresses.
The GRA made it clear that Quaye was rather being assessed for “personal earnings tax” in relation to more than GHS 30 million in unpaid taxes.
Just days before his 40th birthday, Richard Quaye purchased a$ 3 million Bugatti Chiron and a private jet worth tens of millions of dollars. He then organized a huge birthday party, which attracted the presence of numerous famous people and wealthy people, including Ramsey Nouah, Joselyn Dumas, Osei Kwame Despite, Davido, and many others.
