In the face of the press, last Friday, at the foot of the hotel, the workers vigorously denounced what they described as “lies”, “arbitrary” and “colonialist” practices orchestrated by the management. Paul André Ndour, the spokesman for the day, has devoted himself to establishing the facts. According to him, it was not the staff who blocked the functioning of the hotel, but rather the management, which had blocked access to the computer system, the reception, the accounting and the reservation service, thus paralysing the activity. The workers claim to have met with the Minister of Tourism, Amadou Ba, during his inauguration, as well as the director of the Sogip, Dame Mbodji, to explain their situation. Faced with a deterioration of the social climate and a breakdown in confidence with the group managing, they believe that a lasting solution requires the termination of the contract with the Summa group and the search for a new operator.
