U.S.-based Ghanaian political commentator Kevin Taylor has attacked former Dome Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, as a dangerous individual attempting to ride on a dead person’s reputation to gain political power.
Taylor, during a recent episode of his show, With All Due Respect, addressed recent claims by Safo that the former National Coordinator of the School Feeding Program, Madam Courage Quashigah, was corrupt.
Safo, who is currently on a media tour to set the record straight about her fractious relationship with her own party, the NPP, revealed during an interview that the former school feeding coordinator was massively corrupt.
Safo claimed that while the NPP government was in power, President Akufo-Addo tasked her with looking into rot within the school feeding program. She said while carrying out her investigation, Madam Quashigah approached her and offered her millions of cedis to drop the audit by creating ghost schools and students and fleecing the state.
While Safo has been hailed for exposing corruption within her own party, Kevin Taylor took a different tack, suggesting she’s merely undertaking a political power play.
According to him, Adwoa Safo is riding on a dead woman’s name to launder her own reputation. He said if the school feeding program was corrupt she should have spoken out while Madam Quashigah was alive so she would defend herself.
Taylor added that if Adwoa Safo is speaking the truth, she should produce some evidence such as the audit she carried out into the school feeding program that was shelved by Akufo-Addo.
