Burkina Faso marked a key step in the affirmation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) on Monday, March 3, 2025, by officially hoisting the flag of the organization in Ouagadougou. This solemn ceremony, presided over by Capitaine Ibrahim TRAORÉ, President of Faso, was held at the Palais de Koulouba in the presence of the State authorities, diplomatic representatives and the President’s staff. On that occasion, President TRAORÉ addressed a message full of determination, reaffirming his vision of a prosperous future for the AES and its peoples. This highly symbolic act, carried out simultaneously in Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali, illustrates the unfailing solidarity between the three countries. It reflects their common will to build a future based on unity, peace and prosperity for the whole of the Sahel region.
