The three-time champions will face the Pharaohs of Egypt in the third-place match at the Mohammed V Stadium, Casablanca on Saturday.
Nigeria finished second second at the previous edition of the AFCON hosted by Cote dāIvoire.
Chelle said his team canāt afford to go back home empty handed this time around.
āWe have to go back to Nigeria with the third place,ā Chelle said during his interaction with the media on Friday.
The Malian has been credited for the Super Eaglesā impressive display in Morocco.
The 48-year-old is already looking toĀ Ā injecting new players into team despite the uncertainty surrounding his future.
āIf God gives me the chance to be the coach after the AFCON, Iād love to bring in more players for the team,ā added Chelle.
