Uzoho noted that people outside are unaware of his close relationship with Nwabali, labelling the Chippa United goalkeeper as his brother.

The Omonoia FC of Cyprus shot-stopper was recalled to the Super Eagles ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Morocco

“Stanley is my brother, you know, when he came, we were all together,” Uzoho told the Super Eagles media.

“We helped each other. I helped him. He helped me. So Stanley is a good guy, which I have a very close relationship with him.

“Maybe the people outside there don’t see it, but personally with him, I’m good with him. And also with Amas [Obasogie].”

Nigeria are in Group C in the 2025 AFCON alongside Tunisia, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Eric Chelle’s side will play a warm-up match against Egypt on Tuesday.
