In the National Assembly on Friday, Tafsir Thioye questioned the head of government and his ministers on the question of the hidden debt. The honourable Member stated that he still does not believe in a hidden external debt: “I remain convinced, until there is proof to the contrary, that the Court of Auditors and the Government of Senegal have been deceived about the foreign debt of Senegal which is said to be hidden. I still have nothing to prove the contrary”, he said. Also, the Member asked the Prime Minister of Senegal for clarification on the account of 1000 billion which he had mentioned: “You had mentioned an account containing 1000 billion. I have no knowledge of a report which evokes this. I want you to tell us in which account they are, who owns this account, where this account is located.
