South Sudan ended their debut outing at the women’s AfroBasket on a positive note after recording a shock 66-65 win against 11-time champions Senegal in the third-place game on Sunday.. Senegal missed the chance to add to their 11 titles after losing to reigning champions D’Tigress 75 – 68 in Saturday’s semi-finals.. Meanwhile, Sunday’s final will see D’Tigress hope to become the first national women’s basketball team to win five consecutive AfroBasket titles..
