Despite some attempts to impose their rhythm and reduce the gap, Brancou and his teammates were contained by the aggressiveness and combativity of the Malians. Throughout the match, Senegal showed signs of resistance. However, the address and the collective cohesion of the Malians have prevented any significant remontée.
