After an “aviation event” caused a “forced getting” of their aircraft near Pemberton late on Wednesday morning, an aircraft and a group of BC Wildfire Service firefighters are protected. A video submitted to Global News shows dust coming from a mountain near Pemberton. The affair was described as an “unfolding” situation by the Sea-to-Sky RCMP, who urged residents to stay away from Airport Road. A spokesperson for the BC Wildfire Service claimed that the aircraft was carrying a first attack team, which is usually a three- to four-person unit, that was responding to one of several active wildfires close to Pemberton. The people in the aircraft are all found to be safe, and no major injuries have been reported at this time, according to fire information officer Forrest Tower in an email. The Transportation Safety Board stated that it has been in touch with the authorities to formally inform them of the affair. 0: 42
