In the framework of the Great Presidential Offensive for Vocational Training (GOFOP), the Ministry of Vocational and Technical Training of Senegal has launched a recruitment of 200 vacant professors to strengthen the cadre in the vocational training institutions. While this initiative aims to promote the employment of young people and to improve the quality of vocational training, it also raises concerns about the risks of scams surrounding this process. The Ministry has clearly indicated that the application for this recruitment is entirely free of charge and that no money is required at any stage of the procedure. The Ministry of Vocational and Technical Training has put in place measures to guarantee a transparent recruitment process, in particular by centralising applications on a digital platform and by publishing clear official communiqués. Candidates are, however, advised to exercise greater caution in the face of fraudulent attempts. Any communication or offer which deviates from official directives must be considered as suspicious.
