US President, Donald Trump has declared that the United States will continue its “uninterrupted heavy bombing” in Iran for the upcoming week, as part of a broader strategy aimed at establishing peace in the Middle East.
This announcement came via a post on his Truth Social platform, following the recent killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
“Not just the death of Khamenei, but the country has been, in just one day, very much destroyed and obliterated,” Trump wrote.
The US leader emphasized that, “heavy and pinpoint bombing will continue, uninterrupted throughout the week or, as long as necessary to achieve our objective of peace throughout the Middle East and the world.”
This escalation in military action follows Iran’s retaliatory strikes against several oil-rich Gulf nations, except Oman, which is acting as a mediator in the US-Iran talks following US and Israeli attacks.
