Kwa-Thema – Ofentse ‘DropOne’ Mtsweni (18) said music has always been a part of his life because his brother and cousin were musicians, and he drew inspiration from them to become a music fanatic.
Mtsweni is an amapiano producer who joined the industry in 2022.
“I fell in love with amapiano the moment I started listening to it. I knew then that I wanted to produce that genre.
“I draw inspiration from my community, where music is the source of hope and joy. Music brings people together and transcends their struggles and difficulties,” said Mtsweni.
He has worked with DjyBob_Sa, YvkDe_Dj and Blxckdonny and wishes to work with Vigro Deep. He also aspires to work with Kabza De Small because of his unique sound, energy and creativity.
“I have a single track out on all streaming platforms titled Track22, and I feature YvkDe_Dj. I am working on a joint EP called Spiyo Experience, which aims to shine a light on young, talented people from Kwa-Thema,” he said.
The EP will drop on April 27. Mtsweni will also release his new single titled Route 101.
“I aim to make a meaningful impact on my audience and leave a lasting legacy through my music. Through music, I have discovered my passion, values and strength. I have gained a deeper understanding of myself and overcome obstacles and setbacks,” concluded Mtsweni.
