Ambassador Taofik Coker, who served as Nigeria’s Consul-General in Cameroon, has passed away.  

Ambassador Taofik Obasanjo Coker, former Nigeria Consul-General in Cameroon, has passed away. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed his death on Wednesday, with a statement from its spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa. Ambassador Coker died on Saturday, August 16, after a brief illness. Ebienfa honored Coker as a diligent and committed diplomat who represented Nigeria with honor and professionalism in various roles. The statement emphasized that his unexpected passing is a significant loss for both the diplomatic community and the country. Prior to his role in Buea, Ambassador Coker worked for Nigeria in Conakry, Guinea, and Shanghai, China. The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this challenging time while praying for the tranquility of his soul.
