On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, a champion-worthy celebration was held as Amstel Malta and Goldberg came together to recognize the Super Falcons of Nigeria, who had just achieved their historic 10th victory in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Rabat, Morocco. The event was proudly sponsored by Goldberg and Amstel Malta, two brands that embody the same winning spirit as the Falcons. Goldberg, representing the pinnacle of excellence often referred to as the “Gold Standard,” was perfectly mirrored in the bravery and integrity of the team. Amstel Malta, championing the motto “Be Your Best,” praised the Falcons for their achievements in surpassing barriers, making history, and proudly representing themselves on the largest stage in Africa. The event commenced at 11:30 a.m. as the team arrived at the Local Terminal (GAT) of Muritala Mohammed Airport in Lagos. The Super Falcons made a grand entrance as they were welcomed and guided to the Nigeria Breweries Plc headquarters located in Iganmu, Lagos. They were greeted with enthusiasm, featuring traditional drummers and dancers, along with a courtyard filled with staff and partners of the organization. The leadership team of Nigerian Breweries, led by Managing Director Thibaut Boidin, graciously welcomed the champions with a sincere speech and presented them with a cheque for 50 million naira. Rasheedat Ajibade, the Captain of the Super Falcons, conveyed the team’s appreciation for the support and recognition they have received.
