Ibrahim Mahama, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Engineers and Planners and President Mahama’s brother, has donated an amount of Ghc 100,000 to Ketu South residents who have been displaced following recent tidal waves in their community.
The donation was presented to members of the community to aid relief efforts.
Recently, tidal waves engulfed numerous communities in the Ketu South district of the Volta Region. Affected communities like Agavedzi had dozens of residents displaced from their homes and left homeless.
Authorities have been working to deal with the crisis prompted by the waves and President John Dramani Mahama visited the area on Thursday, March 6th and announced his brother’s donation.
Aside from Ibrahim Mahama’s donation, the Minister for Roads and Highway, Kwame Governs Agbodza, who is the Member of Parliament for Adaklu, also donated donated 250 bags of 25kg rice, 50 boxes of oil, and 1000 bags of sachet water.
Later, Ibrahim Mahama also visited the area to inspect the damage.
