There will always be an undertone of discussion over the team’s franchise records as the Winnipeg Jets advance in their past. Do we honor and remember the Atlanta Thrashers as a relic of the past as a group? Or do we only acknowledge the data from the Jets ‘ earlier NHL time of 1979-1996 and then the year 2011? When the two kingdoms meet, as they did on Monday evening when Mark Scheifele scored his 329th job purpose, it’s undoubtedly complicated and difficult. Recently, that’s been the case. Ilya Kovalchuk, who only ever played in Winnipeg as an opposition player and a person with whom the area has no connection, is now the all-time top scorer in Atlanta/Winnipeg company history, surpassing her as a largely law member of the Jets since her transfer, despite having little other connection other than in brand recognition. But for right now, yeah, it’s the past that is the standard account of the present Jets ‘ background. As such, Scheifele’s fresh mark on the target tag is the common. The Atlanta Thrashers are the current benchmark for Jets milestones if and when the Jets business reclaims the historic annals that Arizona left and are currently in limbo as a result of their recent arrival in Utah. And until that is accomplished, the NHL will continue to operate on the group’s information, which include those from its time in Georgia, even though we are aware that the Winnipeg Jets are making a strong play to get the old Jets records. Now, that doesn’t mean Scheifele’s second goal isn’t former Jets excellent Dale Hawerchuk’s 379 objectives to guide the old company. In reality, Scheifele is eagerly anticipating bringing it down as well, possibly as soon as the following year. And by that point, the old Jets information might be officially merged with the new. And then we will no more use the term Atlanta. Even so, when Scheifele scores the 380-goal goal to beat Ducky, he will be the undisputed company innovator in goal scoring, no less, and that relevance will no longer be up for debate. 0: 53
