Provocative Ghanaian counsellor for marriage, Counselor Lutterodt, has sparked controversy with his remarks about men who value family time over family time. He criticized Ghanaian people who leave their homes right away after work for the sake of their families in an interview with Nana Yaa Brefo on Onua FM.
According to Counselor Lutterodt, “any gentleman who rushes home quickly after work to invest time with his family needs notice, because such people have emotional issues”. He thinks a person should spend some time outside before returning home after work.
When asked if it is standard for a person to dedicate enough time to his wife and children, he dismissed the idea, saying,” There’s no feeling in such ideas. There’s little called family period, you should stop those worthless statements”.
The therapist added that a boy’s top duty is to provide for his home, saying,” It is acceptable and sufficient for a person to provide food and shelter for his children and wife.”
