Apple, the software giant, is set to pay$ 95 million to settle a class-action lawsuit alleging that Siri’s voice associate improperly recorded private conversations.
According to the lawsuit, Siri-enabled gadgets frequently triggered accidentally between 2014 and 2024, capturing sensitive information, including medical records, business records, and personal moments.
Users who experienced unexpected Siri activations may be compensated for these impacted by this negotiation.
However, only one device may be awarded up to$ 20 per device, with a maximum payout of$ 100 for multiple devices.
Consumers must have used Siri-enabled Apple devices (iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple Watches, and Apple TVs ) between September 17, 2014 and December 31, 2024 to be eligible for a payout.
