2. VENOM: THE LAST DANCE

Eddie and Venom are on the run in the final chapter of the Venom trilogy. Hunted by both their worlds, they must face a heartbreaking choice in The Last Dance—the 11th highest-grossing film of 2024.

3. BOY KILLS WORLD

In a dystopian world, a deaf and voiceless young man, “Boy” (Bill Skarsgård), trains to avenge his murdered family. Fuelled by his video-game-inspired inner voice, he joins a resistance group in a chaotic fight for justice.
Filmed in Cape Town and produced by Sam Raimi (Evil Dead, Spider-Man), Boy Kills World features an all-star cast, including Andrew Koji, Famke Janssen, Michelle Dockery, and South African icon Sharlto Copley.
4. THE WILD ROBOT

Based on Peter Brown’s bestselling novel, The Wild Robot follows Roz, a shipwrecked robot who must adapt to life on a deserted island. She gradually bonds with the island’s animals, becoming a surrogate parent to an orphaned gosling.
Acclaimed as Rotten Tomatoes’ Best Animated Movie of 2024, The Wild Robot earned three Oscar nominations, including Best Animated Feature, and won at the Annie and Critics Choice Awards.

5. FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA

The fourth highest-rated movie of 2024 on Rotten Tomatoes, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is a thrilling prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road. It follows young Furiosa, abducted from the Green Place of Many Mothers and caught in a battle for survival between the ruthless Warlord Dementus and Immortan Joe.
Starring Emmy nominee Anya Taylor-Joy as Furiosa and Chris Hemsworth as Dementus, this action-packed spectacle boasts a 90% Rotten Tomatoes rating and multiple award nominations.
6. TRANSFORMERS ONE

Discover the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron in the first fully CG-animated Transformers film.

Inspired by Danny Lyon’s iconic 1967 photo book, The Bikeriders follows Kathy, who is drawn to Benny, a member of a Midwestern motorcycle club. As the Vandals descend into a world of violence, Benny must choose between love and loyalty.
Starring Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, Jodie Comer, Michael Shannon, and Norman Reedus, this gripping crime drama was directed by Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter) and landed at number two on Indiewire’s 2024 Critics’ Poll.
