A group of armed individuals assaulted a Fulani community in Anwule Oglewu village, located in the Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State, resulting in livestock being stolen and one person sustaining injuries. According to DAILY POST, the incident occurred on August 28 around 5:00 AM. Sources reported that the attackers invaded the settlement, firing their weapons indiscriminately, which caused both residents and animals to escape into nearby forests. During the attack, the perpetrators killed and took away a cow and a sheep. A 28-year-old local named Haruna Musa suffered machete wounds to his head and hand. Additionally, another community member, 35-year-old Usman Alhaji, has been missing since the attack and is believed to have been abducted, according to reports. It was noted that security personnel from the Ohimini Division, along with tactical teams, were quickly dispatched to the location, while the injured individual was taken to the Idekpa Health Clinic for medical care. Sources indicated that a search operation is currently underway to locate the assailants and rescue the missing resident.
