Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna Central, has paid tribute to Nigeria’s Armed Forces on the occasion of Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
Sani said they gave their lives for peace and security of Nigerians.
Posting on X, the former lawmaker praised their sacrifices and dedication to national peace and security.
Sani said the day provides an opportunity to celebrate and appreciate the service of gallant men and women of the armed forces, both past and present.
He noted that many of them endured hardship, separation from their families, and in some cases paid the ultimate price to safeguard the country.
According to him, the courage and determination of members of the armed forces remain the foundation of Nigeria’s stability and prosperity.
He wrote: “Today on Armed Forces Remembrance Day, we celebrate and appreciate the services and sacrifices of our gallant men and women in the past and present.
“They discomforted their families and give their lives for our peace and security.Their courage and determination is the bedrock of our stability and prosperity.”
