​Arrest of a suspect for attempted murder in the Secteur Frontalier de Moussala 

  On 23 August, the Malian security forces arrested a man wanted for the attempted murder of his wife. This operation, carried out in the frontier sector of Moussala, illustrates the effectiveness of anonymous intelligence and the vigilance of the agents of the Police aux Frontières (PAF). According to the details provided by the authorities, the arrest was made possible thanks to an anonymous tip received by the security services. PAF agents based in Kalia, equipped with a photo of the suspect, immediately launched a foot patrol in the area. During this round, they spotted a man corresponding perfectly to the description given: a man in his thirties, a native of the region, and presenting the distinctive signs mentioned in the report. Interrogated on the spot, the suspect was subjected to a preliminary interrogation. Without noticeable opposition, he quickly confessed the facts that were reproached to him.
