The P. Ndiaye made himself known in 2021, when a canoe he had chartered, carrying more than a hundred migrants, succeeded in reaching European shores. This illegal success encouraged him to continue his activities. But his expeditions quickly turned to tragedy. During a second attempt, entrusted to another captain, the ship capsized, causing the death of several passengers. Confronted with the anger of the families, he fled before reappearing in 2023, informs L’Observateur. That year, he gathered dozens of candidates for emigration in a house of labour, extorting them a total of nearly 310 million FCFA, before abandoning them on the day of departure.
