
Arsenal youngster, Max Dowman, on Tuesday night became the youngest player to feature in the Champions League knockout stages.
Dowman has now set a new record that was previously held by Lamine Yamal.
Yamal, who plays for Barcelona, was 16 years and 223 days old when he featured against Napoli in February 2024.
Dowman aged 16 years and 97 days old, was summoned off the bench by Mikel Arteta as they chased a result against Sporting in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.
This season, Dowman who can play both in midfield and on the wings, has been setting several records.
Last month, he netted a sublime solo goal in the 2-0 victory over Everton, to become the youngest-ever goal scorer in the Premier League.
