The National Division for the Fight against Migrant Trafficking (DNLT), in collaboration with the Fluviomaritime Brigade of the Bargny police, intercepted a pirogue on the beach of “Sococim Minam” in Bargny. L’opération a permis d’arrêter 108 personnes qui tentaient de rejoindre l’Espagne. (The operation allowed the arrest of 108 people who were trying to reach Spain.) The operation was launched following an intelligence on the imminent departure of a canoe to the Canary Islands. 78 migrants were interviewed directly on board. At the same time, the police station of Bargny intercepted 31 other persons involved in the same travel project. The migrants are of different nationalities. • 75 from Senegal.
