On Friday, August 8, 2025, security forces arrested a suspected bandit during a midnight operation in Kuki, located in the Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area of Katsina State. A video posted by security analyst Zagazola Makama on his X account showed the suspect being interrogated while in custody. During the interrogation, the suspect claimed that a local individual referred to as “Master” had invited them. Makama also noted that the troops managed to capture the suspect alive following a violent confrontation with the bandits, who had entered the town under the cover of night. The rapid reaction of the security forces led to the retreat of the remaining assailants, effectively halting the attack.
